Aston Martin Unveils Latest Bond Car
The world’s most famous movie spy, James Bond, is back behind the wheel of an Aston Martin in his upcoming movie and we can only hope that the £700,000 Valhalla comes out unscathed.
The Valhalla supercar, a 217mph plug-in hybrid was unveiled at Silverstone this week ahead of the British Grand Prix, and amazingly comes in at less than half the projected expected price-tag.
When revealed as a concept in 2019, it was thought that the Valhalla would command a beefy £1.5m to drive off the forecourt, but they revisited the designs and gave its spec a more mature feel, to allow it to knock £800k off the bill for those who are interested in making the purchase.
That reduction in price means that it will now send 1,000 of the limited edition to production, double the initial projection.
Valhalla will be driven by Daniel Craig in No Time To Die, the latest 007 movie which is going to be in cinemas this autumn, one of four different Aston Martins to appear in the film, including a V8 which previously appeared in The Living Daylights.
Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll said: “Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engined supercar, Valhalla is a truly transformational moment for this ultra-luxury brand.
The launch of Valhalla demonstrates Aston Martin’s commitment to building a range of exceptional mid-engined driver focused cars, a crucial next stage in the expansion of our product line-up. It also seemed fitting to unveil this stunning track biased supercar at the home of motorsport and the home of the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula OneTM Team and marks Aston Martin’s return to the British Grand Prix for the first time in over 60 years, a true milestone.”
